Oranga Tamariki to implement new reporting measures for improved accountability

Oranga Tamariki has been mandated by Children’s Minister Karen Chhour to adopt five new reporting criteria, including the frequency with which children in care access social workers over a two-month period. 

Starting from the 2024/2025 financial year, the ministry’s performance on these metrics will be publicly reported on a quarterly basis.
