Bob McCoskrie calls out NZ news for blatantly misleading US election coverage

Summarised by Centrist

Family First’s Bob McCoskrie argues that the New Zealand news media is misrepresenting events in the US election to fit a specific narrative.

“They think you’re an idiot and will fall for anything,” said McCoskrie on his YouTube channel.

He argues the media’s portrayal of events like Donald Trump’s campaign rallies and comments has crossed into propaganda.

McCoskrie calls out several instances of out-of-context statements used by the media to attack Trump.

He labelled it “interesting” that recent coverage by both the New Zealand Herald and the state broadcaster, RNZ, described Trump’s rally—with its music and audience interaction—as “bizarre.”

In another example, he calls out TVNZ’s Jack Tame for “grossly misrepresenting” Trump’s comments about securing the border to protect women from illegal migrant criminals.

Tame blatantly twisted Trump’s words, describing them as “Trump’s comments about reproductive rights.” However, neither reproductive rights nor abortion were mentioned in the entirety of Trump’s speech, which Tame was citing.

Three News also misrepresented Trump’s comments, describing Trump’s rival Kamala Harris’ campaign as a ‘message centred on women and reproductive rights criticising Donald Trump for saying he would protect women whether they like or not.”

“As soon as Trump says ‘women’, the narrative is immediately ‘abortion,’” observes McCoscrkie.  “Ironically,” he continues, “those same people can’t define what a woman is,” he quips.
