Yale study links mRNA Covid vaccines to potential post-vaccination syndrome

A Yale University research team has identified a condition called post-vaccination syndrome (PVS) in some individuals who received mRNA COVID vaccines.

The study, led by immunologist Dr Akiko Iwasaki, suggests that PVS may cause brain fog, dizziness, tinnitus, extreme fatigue, and immune system changes.

“For patients who are suffering from post-vaccination syndrome, we want them to know that we see you, we listen, and we will keep on doing more research in this area so that this condition can be recognised, and better medical care can be provided,” said Dr Iwasaki.

The study also found that some participants with PVS had reactivated Epstein-Barr virus, a common virus that can remain dormant but, when triggered, can cause flu-like symptoms, swollen lymph nodes, and nerve issues. One of the researchers noted, “Such research will also lead to better transparency and safer vaccines.”

Dr Iwasaki and her team cautioned that their findings are preliminary and require further validation. “We would like to expand our research to a larger cohort and validate our current findings,” she said.
