US COVID report suggests lab-leak COVID origin and slams lockdowns

Summarised by Centrist

The US government’s Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic has released its final report, offering a look into the origins, impacts, and mismanagement of COVID.

The 520-page document identifies major lapses in government oversight, disturbing findings about pandemic origins, and failures in federal policies.

Chairman Brad Wenstrup stated, “Trust is earned. Accountability, transparency, honesty, and integrity will regain this trust.”

The report strongly suggests a lab-related origin for COVID, citing gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology funded by US taxpayer dollars through the EcoHealth Alliance–a US based nonprofit organisation known for its role in funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Despite ongoing inquiries, the National Institutes of Health has blocked access to relevant records. EcoHealth’s internal emails reveal that a federal grand jury has subpoenaed genetic sequences and correspondence related to virus research, but details remain secret due to Department of Justice

The report also claims the COVID vaccine failed to prevent transmission as promised, and mandates harmed military readiness and individual freedoms. Economic impacts were devastating, with more than 160,000 US businesses shuttering—60% permanently—and unemployment spiking to Great Depression levels.

School closures were described as unjustified by science, causing historic learning losses and psychological harm to children.

The outgoing Biden administration is accused of obstructing the subcommittee’s work, with officials like Dr Fauci’s senior advisor allegedly violating policies and misleading Congress.
