New Zealanders trust no organisation above 50% for Treaty information

A recent study commissioned by the Human Rights Commission and conducted by Horizon Research reveals that no organisation garners more than 50% trust from the New Zealand population for providing accurate information on the Treaty/Te Tiriti. Notably, MPs and news media are trusted less than advocacy groups, with political parties earning the lowest trust at 4%. 

The report also questions the lack of trust in primary information sources and the challenge of achieving social unity concerning the Treaty/Te Tiriti. Sources considered to be trustworthy include The National Library of New Zealand, the Waitangi Tribunal and some podcasts.
