The World Economic Forum is set to host a meeting called “Preparing for Disease X,” addressing potential preparations for a hypothetical, highly lethal disease known as “Disease X.” Disease X, though not an actual disease, was conceptualised to encourage the development of countermeasures such as vaccines and tests for future outbreaks. 

This event has sparked controversy on social media, with right-wing groups criticising the plans as reminiscent of COVID lockdown measures.
